Economics Committee Presents Black Owned Business Monthly Spotlight

The Economics Committee is seeking nominations to highlight Black owned businesses during a monthly spotlight. The purpose of the Black Owned Business Spotlight is to highlight and encourage our members and the general public to support Black owned businesses.

A different business will be highlighted each month through the end of the year. The business of the month will be featured weekly on our social media platforms, Zeta Omega website, chapter e-newsletter, and chapter meetings.

Please submit your favorite Black owned business for consideration! Nominations will be accepted from May 10th through May 28th and can be submitted using this form:

Nominations will be reviewed and scored based on an established review criteria. Wilmington based Black Owned Businesses are preferred since this is the community Zeta Omega serves.

For questions or additional information, please email the Economics Committee at

Let’s continue to shine a light on our Black owned businesses by promoting their phenomenal products and services on our platforms!

The Economics Committee is presenting a weekly social media campaign to promote financial literacy in all areas of our community.
